Foam suppression systems are a specialized fire protection solution designed to combat fires involving flammable liquids. By mixing a foam concentrate with water, the system creates a blanket of foam that extinguishes the fire in three ways: it cools the fire, smothers it by separating the fuel from oxygen, and suppresses flammable vapors to prevent reignition.
These systems are highly effective for large-scale hazards like aircraft hangars, fuel storage facilities, and chemical plants, where water alone would be ineffective or even dangerous.
