Firefighting foams are specialized chemical agents used to suppress fires, especially those involving flammable liquids, composed of water, foam concentrate, and air, they work by creating a blanket that cools the fuel and prevents oxygen from reaching the fire thus preventing re-ignition. Various types are used based on fire class and fuel type ranging from Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) and Fluorine-Free Foams (F3).
