We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and focus on the design, development, installation, and maintenance of firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fire protection principles, relevant codes and standards, and the ability to apply mechanical engineering principles to ensure the safety and protection of our facilities and assets.

• Design and specify various firefighting systems, including but not limited to sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems (gaseous, foam, etc.), fire pumps, and water supply networks.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications in compliance with relevant local and international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, SFPE, Saudi Building Code).
• Perform hydraulic calculations and analysis for fire protection systems to ensure adequate water flow and pressure.
• Select appropriate firefighting equipment and components based on project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate firefighting systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
• Review shop drawings and vendor submittals for compliance with design specifications and standards.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of firefighting systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to assess existing firefighting systems, identify deficiencies, and recommend necessary upgrades or maintenance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for firefighting systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to firefighting systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in firefighting technology, codes, and standards.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to firefighting system design, performance, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of firefighting systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant local and international fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, SFPE, Saudi Building Code).
• Proficiency in hydraulic calculations and fire protection system design software.
• Experience with various types of firefighting systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and hydraulic calculation software.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of local regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
• Fluent in both English and Arabic.
